Fulfillment released the moment stock and funds agree
Orders rarely wait for one thing. This is an order that ships the second it becomes ready, not the next time someone looks.
Order to cash · Part 3 of 4
Orders rarely wait for one thing. They wait for stock to be received, for a deposit to clear, for a credit limit to be raised, and for someone to notice that all three have happened.
This scenario follows an order that is ready to ship from the second it becomes ready, not from the next time a person looks.
Building it
Cnaan holds each waiting order against the conditions that block it and listens for the events that clear them: a goods receipt, a cleared payment, an approval. It does not poll a report; it reacts to the change.
When the last condition clears, the release goes to the warehouse with the pick priorities the operation already uses, and the buyer gets a ship date that has just become true.
What changes
- Ready orders stop ageing in a queue between two departments.
- The warehouse receives releases in a steady flow, not in a batch after the morning meeting.
- Promised dates are made from what has happened, not from what usually happens.
The order moves because the facts changed, which is the only reason it ever should have been waiting.
